Grounds Built Like Architecture, Left Wild Enough To Breathe

Wilding & Stone designs residential landscapes where quarried stone, reclaimed timber, and water meet naturalistic planting — spaces drawn with the same discipline as the house they surround, then left loose enough for nature to finish.

Provenance

Stone, timber, and plant stock sourced close to every site we build — never trucked further than we can help.

Longevity

Retaining walls, steps, and drainage detailed to outlast the trends that inspired them.

Ecology

Every plan leaves ground for pollinators, rainfall, and the things we didn't plant ourselves.

Our Approach

Structure First, Then Let It Grow Wild

We start the way an architect would: reading the site's slope, light, and drainage before a single plant is chosen. Terraces, walls, and water are drawn in first, so the hardscape can carry the garden through every season — not just the one it was planted in.

Planting comes second, and it comes loose. Native and climate-suited species are layered in to knit themselves together over time, so the grounds keep changing shape long after we've left the site.
